Our Client is a pioneering plant-based seafood company. Using breakthrough technology, they create premium whole-cut, plant-based fish fillets designed to sustainably feed the world at scale. The flagship product is a salmon-inspired filet, currently served at top restaurants across the U.S. As they expand nationally, they are seeking a seasoned and strategic Sales Director to lead the U.S. sales efforts across multiple regions.


The Position

 

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and optimizing production operations on-site, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to established standards and procedures. This role requires executing production trials, monitoring processes, managing shipments, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to meet customer requirements. The position also involves providing hands-on support to the production team and managing logistical tasks to maintain smooth operations.
 

Experience:

  • Junior-level position requiring 2-4 years of experience in the food industry (experience in food production is a must).

Education:

  • Food Technologist/Scientist degree is a strong advantage. 
  • If not a Food Technologist/Scientist , a background as a shift manager in a production hall is recommended.
  • Background in a bakery is a significant plus

Responsibilities and Authority:

  • Oversee food quality and safety processes ensuring compliance with standards:
  • Monitor production processes, ensuring adherence to procedures, standards, and documentation, and oversee the final product quality.
  • Assess and determine the qualification of products in cases of production non-conformities
  • Analyze production results and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide technological support for production
  • Support production activity and adapt processes to meet company needs
  • Execute trials and measurements provided by OPS and R&D team
  • Provide feedback to teams to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
  • Coordinate and manage shipments from the manufacturer to existing and potential customers

  • Ability to prioritize and distinguish between main tasks and secondary ones.
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous.
  • Capable of working independently and efficiently managing time.
  • Willingness to travel within the U.S. and internationally.
