Role: The position of Global Category Manager will be responsible for managing innovative & proactive new product
development projects to drive growth through sales volume, value and profitability. The Global Category Manager will
design and optimise the company’s product portfolio strategy to meet the needs of customers today and in the future, to
ensure the business remains at the forefront of the food industry.
The ideal candidates will posses a deep understanding of product category management and project management. The
business are looking for passionate, proactive and driven individuals who have both commercial acumen and an
understanding of food ingredients that can create value for their customers. The roles will collaborate closely with
customers, New Product Development teams and Sales teams, to identify and deliver new and commercially viable food
solutions.
Main Responsibilities
• Create and manage projects of proactive and innovative food products to enhance, extend and complete
company’s product portfolio
• Lead the definition, development & steering of the specified Category strategy through its product portfolio,
pricing, network, and production capabilities, to drive the businesses growth and profitability
• Lead and coordinate international teams to assess customer product needs and growth strategies, identifying
opportunities for business expansion
• Drive the acquisition of new sales opportunities by aligning tailored value propositions of products with customer's
brand positioning and strategic objectives
• Develop the company’s salesforce & community's understanding of the category's market size and dynamics,
competition, customer requirements, innovations, and trends
• Enhance customer engagement through collaborative projects and compellingly communicate the company’s
added value, portfolio & innovations
• Conceptualise products for trade fairs and events, ensuring company’s impactful brand presence.
Key Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product & project management in the Dairy/Ice Cream industry, preferably in multi-
national companies with strong, intercultural competence
• Strong experience and knowledge of the Dairy/Ice Cream industry
• Extensive market and customer know-how in industrial food processing, ideally in Dairy/Ice Cream business
• Excellent relationship and communication skills (customer & internal) - distilling complex information into
concise and impactful messages
• Highly structured with ability to manage transversal projects and lead international project teams
• Goal-oriented & a strategic team-player
• Self-starter with a positive can-do attitude
• Fluency in English & Spanish.
