Role: Develop and manage procurement and supply chain strategy, in a business centric and transparent way, that
enhance profitability and sustainable growth, leading the Procurement and Supply Chain to achieve the performance
economic targets in coordination with R&D, Sales and Industrial teams to achieve business goals. The role will report
directly into the COO and be responsible for managing a team of over 60 people, with 6 direct reports.
Main Responsibilities
• Promote and optimise the continuous improvement as well as the achievement of the objectives established
globally
• Define and propose for approval the strategic plan of activities and the annual budget of the department, ensuring
the coordination of work processes and activities
• Use a strategic sourcing process, managing suppliers based on performance metrics and market and risk dynamics
• Manage the entire process of planning the procurement and supply chain activities, inventory control, In-bound
and out-bound logistics, ensuring effectively functioning processes to avoid costly delays, materials shortages and
improve customer service level
• Implement strategic procurement including sourcing strategy, supplier selection and evaluation, quality
management, supplier relationship management and performance measurement
• Manage and monitor all transactional procurement including tendering processes, negotiation, evaluation, contract
management, legal considerations and payment conditions, supplier performance evaluation and risk assessment
• Manage customer service guaranteeing service level goals.
• Organise, plan and deliver the budgets for Procurement and Supply chain
• Ensure effective use of internal systems, procedures and reporting tools, to improve it, control the workflows and
monitoring the business process.
Key Requirements
• University degree, preferable in business, economics, mathematics, agro food industry
• Demonstrated experience as a buyer in Food & Beverage industry with deep knowledge in fruits and/or
vegetables sector
• Minimum experience of 10 years in a similar role
• Good knowledge of customs and taxes
• International sourcing & trade experience
• Analytical mind and well-structured capacity to implement lean management model and continuous
improvement
• Global GAP, GSFI certifications
• Good communication in English (French/Spanish/Portuguese is a plus).
