Due to a long-standing relationship with one of our biggest clients, Aston Chambers has been instructed to assist with the hiring of a HR Business Partner position to be based in Ghent, Belgium. 

 

The role would have full responsible for their offices in Belgium, as well as supporting an additional (smaller) office they have in Austria. This position would be their most senior HR function in Europe and would be responsible for payroll, recruitment processes, budget planning with leadership and general support to all employees.

Position: The HR Business Partner will be responsible for complete payroll process and support the management team on the company’s units in Europe (Belgium / Austria) in any subject on people management, implementing the corporate programs of all HOD’s disciplines, especially Recruitment & Selection, Training & Development and Compensation & Organization. Know the dynamics and organizational goals management team, engaging and actively collaborating to ensure that the company achieves the planned results.

 

Main Responsibilities
•    Complete payroll process of company in Belgium/Gent and of its business in Austria/Vienna, ensuring the correct calculation and payment on time via 2 local external HR service providers. 
•    Maintaining, completing, and updating employee records and personnel files. 
•    Conduct all recruiting demands for companies through internal and / or external recruitment, preparing job adverts, check application forms, shortlisting, etc., until coordinator level. 
•    Conduct the Compensation & Organization demands by supporting the management on organizational structure (elaboration of personnel planning of the areas, review of positions and salaries, evaluation of the organizational structure, personnel movements), always aligned with C&O corporate to ensure the company policy and procedures. 
•    Support managers and teams on issues related to Organizational Climate. 
•    Assist company’s development system in the entities in Europe, supporting management on performance and potential evaluation. 
•    Be the focal point with external service providers/Contact SD Worx, Electromatic, Group insurance, Hospitalization insurance... in case of problems or questions. 
•    Variable Pay: administration/filing of the targets, calculate the amount and ensure pay-out on time. 
•    Defining and updating HR related KPI and cost components.

 

Key Requirements
•    A degree in Business / Human Sciences / Psychology and/or Master’s Degree in Human Sciences/HR or equivalent
•    A minimum of 4 years in a HR function 
•    Fluent in English & Dutch. Additional languages (French / Spanish / Portuguese) considered a plus
•    Knowledge of Belgium social law, payroll, Office 365, and various HR software. 
•    Organization skills and ability to understand detailed information  
•    Both business & cultural awareness 
•    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both proactively and independently.
