Position: As the Key Account Manager– Private Label & Retail position focusing on the UK region, you will be responsible for building key Customer relationships across all our Cocoa, Coffee, Nuts, Spices and Dairy offerings and grow the company’s products to existing retailer relationships and build new ones. You will be responsible for identifying customer needs and provide tailor-made solutions leveraging the company’s vast supply chain presence.
You will be responsible for supporting product heads in laying down the strategy for marketing to retailers. In addition, you will also be responsible for the development & creation of the required infrastructure to service your customer base. You actively build your teams - including hiring, training, and developing team members.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivering sales and volume to retailers for specific products in Cocoa, Coffee, Nuts, Spices and Dairy businesses which may include cocoa mixes, soluble coffee, snacking nuts, spice mixes and dairy ingredients
  • Build strategic relationships with UK-based Retailers, both existing customers and new, leading meetings and initiating projects
  • Drive resources allocation to projects with Private Label Retailers
  • Partner with marketing, customer services, supply chain to develop customer applications.

Key Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher with 10 - 15 years of relevant work experience.
  • A Passion for food and an existing network with key UK headquartered retailers.
  • Understanding and experience in Key Account Management for Food/Ingredient products.
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills.
  • An ownership/ ‘self-starter’ mindset, who is willing to go the extra mile and brings added business value.
  • Commercial orientation with the ability to understand key market scenarios and impact on Supply & Demand.
  • Exposure in managing the scale of operations and enlarging the team size as required.
  • Very good people management, communication, and interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate with and influence a matrix of internal and external customers at varied levels.
  • The ability to act dynamically and fast based on experience, to get things done.
  • Fluent ability to communicate in English, a second European language is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
