Role Overview:
The client are a multi million speciality ingredients producer are currently looking for a New Business Development Manager who will be responsible for entering and growing the client portfolio across Europe. The job holder is responsible for establishing Ice Cream business with new customers, such as YSCO, Froneri, and more, developing Food Service and QSR business/accounts such as McDonald’s, Starbucks etc. aligning with Global Sales, develop and grow existing Bakery customers and develop new opportunities and to create and follow up on opportunities in other categories using fruit preparations, like beverage industry with accounts such as Coco Cola.
Main Responsibilities:
- Drive market intelligence for the defined categories and channels in terms of market size, price point, profitability, as well as competitors’ activity and customers’ requirements within Europe.
- Identify market potential for current and new product portfolio for new customers. Analyse and prepare the information for the superiors.
- Develop value propositions to enter the new customers in these new categories and channels.
- Create exchange opportunities to build relationships with new customers.
- Plan and manage sales activities for the fulfilment of the agreed sales plans.
- Elaborate business relevant proposals based on the findings and participate in further development and implementation of those within overall strategies, budgets, investments and objectives of the company together with the other function responsible persons and the superior.
- Develop and implement the sales and marketing plans and activities for the defined categories and channels, including volumes, product mix, and budgets per client in agreement with the superior.
- Monitor agreed budget plans and ensure elaboration of proper corrective measures in case of deviations.
- Ensure proper negotiation with clients about terms, conditions, deliveries, quality issues, etc. and conclude the contracts in agreement with the superior.
- Plan and coordinate business meetings, events and participation in fairs for exchanging business experience, information to actual and potential clients about new trends and products and for representing the company in agreement with the superior.
Key Requirements and Qualifications
- Several years of international sales related and/or purchase supply chain management experience, established network in Ice Cream/Foodservice/Bakery/Fruit Preparations.
- BSc or MBA related education.
- Detailed understanding of food ingredients & nutrition.
- Management, process and networking skills; strong communication skills.
- Fluency in English. Other languages considered a plus.
