The Role: As the Regional Technical Manager of Swine you are responsible for regional business results by supporting sales teams and customers within the Asia Pacific. In this role you will report into the APAC Technical Director. The role is a hands on positon, as you will need to be supporting on the farms, feed mills and distributers dealing with the full Swine product portfolio of Premix and Feed Additives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support and implementing the whole Swine product portfolio within the region.
  • Help create and develop different value propositions for customers (feed mills, farms, distributers) all in line with the regional technical team and global marketing.
  • Create and execute product technical training programs for sales teams and their distributers/sales partners. This includes product introductions, as well as keeping everyone up to date with product enhancements.
  • Introduce new and advanced nutritional technologies and general swine management services for farmers, integrators and distributers. Ensuring the proper implementation of feeding programs and passing on the knowledge to manage them efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop nutritional concepts with the products and services based on customer needs, to improve profitability for both the company and the customer.
  • Grow the innovation portfolio pipeline with products/services that are specific to the AsiaPacific region.
  • Oversee and keep tabs on customers’ trials and trial protocols to ensure continuous control and data collection.
  • Liaise with the global organisation to cultivate and improve marketing materials/strategy as well as refining sales support tools.
  • Creating and grow relationships in the region to network with a wide range of stakeholders including, farmers, private consultants, opinion leaders, local feed, livestock and animal health organisations.

 

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • Essential - Education: Animal Nutrition, Husbandry or Veterinary medicine (BSc,MSc)
  • Essential - Work Experience : more than 8 years of experience in the swine industry (nutrition/genetic/pharma)
  • Technical & Professional Knowledge: Relevant field experience about swine farm management, genetic, animal health or/and nutrition
  • Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation;
  • Capable and hands on problem-solving approach, with ability to generate ideas and solutions;
  • Relationship building skills, Collaboration Project Management Skill
