Their personal care division offers a versatile range of products for skin care, hair care, colour cosmetics and toiletries, producing top results. They pride themselves on offering their customers tailor-made chemical specialties, which are precisely fit to meet their requirements. The Position

 

As Sales Manager you will be responsible for building, establishing and maintaining relationships with key customers, mainly with purchasing and technical functions. The Sales Manager will take proactive actions to achieve sales and profit targets and handles daily Customer requests regarding technical, commercial, supply and regulatory questions.

Key Responsibilities

· Managing the business for a geographical area territory; the Mid-West down to and including Texas.

· Key market and customer focus are within skin care, hair care, makeup and toiletries.

· Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.

· Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.

· Identify and resolve client concerns – a strong technical understanding of technologies is important to work with client R&D and innovation teams.

· Coordinate with the company R&D and Laboratory teams in NJ to manage projects and accomplish the work required to close sales.

· Maintains contact with clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and proximity

· Contributes his/her insights and guidelines to the region and development plan. Implements the plan accordingly

· Ensures timely new products introduction to the Customer. Achieves target % of sales

· Proactively seeks information about leads or customers strategy and product launches

· Coordinates activities related to the project with the customers on the new product development. Closely cooperate with Technical Experts to make sure project meets customers’ needs

· Provides sales forecast/budget

· Based on experience, there may be the opportunity to manage a distributor.

· Travel expectation: 30%

 

Experience and Qualifications

· Minimum BS degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry

· Minimum 10 years of experience in sales positions gained at the chemical business

· In-depth understanding of the Care industry, key market players, trends, strategies

· Proven ability to create strong relationships with customers

· Strong business development and sales execution skills

· Strong track of record of collaboration with extensive stakeholders ecosystems
