Role: As Senior HR Director, you will operate as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to senior business leaders. You will drive HR strategies that enable the business to achieve its long-term goals, ensuring organisational effectiveness through strong alignment of people, processes, and performance. This is a highly visible, global role requiring strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and the ability to navigate complex and evolving environments.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior business leaders to design and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing guidance across all HR matters
  • Lead global talent initiatives, including succession planning, leadership development, and workforce planning
  • Drive organisational effectiveness through strategic design, optimisation, and change management
  • Lead and deliver global HR projects, including organisation redesign and transformation initiatives
  • Partner with HR Centres of Excellence and regional teams to deliver consistent global HR initiatives

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of professional HR experience, with at least 5 years in a global HRBP or senior leadership role
  • Previous experience within the chemical, life sciences, or material sciences sector strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to build relationships and influence across multiple stakeholders
  • Proven success in managing complexity and ambiguity within large, matrixed organisations
  • Commercially minded with strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on, adaptive approach.
