About the business: A multinational agrochemical business which positions itself as a leader in crop protection and related agricultural products. The company is now ready to strengthen it’s presence in leading European countries for bio crop protection.

Overall Role Function: The commercial division requires an experienced Commercial Manger to grow the company’s interests in the European region. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, the main tasks will involve furthering customer relationships, generating year on year revenue growth and marketing strategy implementation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside the Commercial Director help devise a plan for the future; a plan which utilizes the existing strengths, redresses current weaknesses, exploits opportunities and defends against potential competitive threats
  • Using your market knowledge, build the company’s agrochemical brand in Western Europe alongside increasing sales revenue
  • Attend industry events (conferences, exhibitions and trade shows) to enhance sales and marketing efforts and to raise company awareness
  • Detect and develop new business opportunities for new products/customers/markets

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential: Relevant agronomic degree, preferably to an MSc or PhD level
  • Essential: In depth knowledge of plant protection industry within Europe, ideally within the bio area in connection with speciality crops
  • Results driven: strong focus on outcome and ability to drive direction and results (hands-on professional)
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to communicate this with credibility
  • Proved success of strong and consistent target delivery
  • Fluent in English and preferably a second language either French, Italian or Spanish
