Project Coordinator – Product Development

The Role: Our client who are a multi-million flavours & specialty ingredients producer are currently looking to recruit a Project Coordinator within the Product Development of Savoury based products. The main function of the role is the project coordination and the development of formulations for national and international customers in the field of Savoury products and systems within the EAMEI region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development of formulations for national and international customers in the field of Savoury products and systems
  • Processing of development briefings from strategic customers from the product idea to production for products in the area of savoury-based ingredients such as funds, broth, marinades, dressings and culinary basics with meat application.
  • Recipe and raw material management for quality assurance and standardization of the product portfolio.
  • Assumption of project inquiries with responsibility for project management and coordination of product developments.
  • Promotion, monitoring and optimization of the product portfolio.
  • Close coordination with the internal interfaces in product management, research and development, sales, purchasing and customers.
  • Contribution and expansion of expert knowledge in the area of Savoury and product group related know-how transfer within the group.
  • Management of innovation and product adaptation projects including product documentation and evaluation.
  • Sensory and physical qualification of product samples and development products as well as technical support in co-packing projects.
  • Contact person of the sales department and link to the customers in technical questions.
  • Development of strategies and measures to expand customer relations and the product portfolio at national and global level.
  • Support in processing customer complaints.

Required Skills and Experiences

  • Degree in food technology with emphasis on meat technology or comparable training with extensive experience in the meat processing industry.
  • Expertise in products and systems in the meat sector.
  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable position in the food industry.
  • Experience in innovation and project management and high affinity for product development, nutrition and food trends and enthusiasm for innovative solutions and trends in the Savoury area.
  • Passion and technical understanding for complex product development processes the ability to work analytically and conceptually, but also creatively.
