About the businessA USA based company with a revolutionary soil moisture measuring product line, which has made their name on a national level. Following the interest of the market and clients, the company is now ready to strengthen it’s presence within the USA & Mexico.

Overall Role Function: The Sales division requires an experienced Regional Sales Manger to grow the company’s business in the Western Region of the US, whilst managing a defined sales territory. The main tasks will be to further customer relationships with direct sales to the growers as well as sales through dealers.

Main responsibilities:

  • Build on an existing and growing sales team, providing direction and management as it expands through the region
  • Using your market knowledge, build the company’s brand in Western USA alongside increasing sales revenue; later in 2018 assist development of the Mexican market
  • Develop and execute strategies at all levels to accomplish sales regionally and within target key clients
  • Interpret and present market, product, competitor and industry data to enable development of the forward product strategy
  • Collaborate with market development, marketing, product management and digital teams to execute the company’s crop protection solutions
  • Detect and develop new business opportunities for new customers.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential: Relevant agronomic degree, preferably on at least BSc level
  • Essential: Strong background in agronomy (any relevant industry such as crop protection, genetics, etc.) coupled with a working knowledge of the agricultural sector in North America
  • Experience in collaboration with vegetable producers, row crop, and berry growers
  • Results driven: strong focus on outcome and ability to drive direction and results (a hands-on professional). You will have a proven success of strong and consistent target delivery
  • Fluent in English. Capabilities in other languages would be considered a plus.
