About the business: A global agrochemical business which has positions itself as a world-leader in crop protection and other agricultural products. With an innovative and always expanding portfolio of agrochemicals, from crop protection to fertilisers, the company is looking for further talented agricultural professionals to strengthen its team in North American territory.

Overall Role Function: The Crop Protection division for a global chemical company requires an experienced Sales & Technical Support Manager with comprehensive understanding of the market. The role will include full accountability throughout the regions of North America (excluding Mexico).

Main responsibilities:

  • Build on an existing and growing sales team, providing direction and management as it expands through the region and industries
  • Work in conjunction with internal and external researchers and departments on trials and new product development
  • Developing and executing strategies at all levels to accomplish sales regionally and within target key clients
  • Be able to interpret and present market, product, competitor and industry data to enable development of the forward product strategy
  • Collaborate with market development, marketing, product management and digital teams to execute the company’s crop protection solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential: Agricultural Engineering degree or a highly relevant comparable qualification
  • Essential: Strong background in agronomy coupled with a working knowledge of the agricultural sector in North America
  • Proven track record in maintaining strong relationships and leading major negotiations with local and international accounts
  • Demonstrated sales growth achievement record through gained market-share, new clients and turnover growth
  • Fluent in English. Capabilities in other languages would be considered a plus, especially French, due to the Canadian customer base.
