Role: As Global Key Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and expanding relationships with some of the
world’s leading food and beverage manufacturers, including Unilever, Puratos, Ferrero, Nestlé, Kraft Heinz, and more. With
an existing portfolio of 10 key accounts, and potential for additional assignments, you will be responsible for driving sales
growth, strengthening partnerships, and identifying new business opportunities within these high-value clients.
This role requires a hunter mentality, strong business development skills, and a deep understanding of both technical and
commercial aspects of ingredient sales. You will need to balance strategic account management with an ability to identify
and close new opportunities, ensuring long-term success and profitability across global markets.
Reporting to the Global Sales Director, you will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to execute
strategic initiatives.
Main Responsibilities
• Manage and grow a portfolio of high-value global accounts, building strong relationships with decision-makers.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts and prospect new clients where
applicable.
• Understand and communicate technical aspects of ingredients, ensuring a consultative sales approach.
• Work closely with senior management to align sales strategies and ensure top-level engagement with priority
accounts.
• Develop and implement strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
• Navigate complex international sales environments, considering cultural, operational, and regulatory differences.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to inform business strategy.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and supply chain, to ensure smooth execution
of customer projects.
Key Requirements
• 10+ years of experience in a similar Global/Regional Key Account role within food ingredients industry.
• Strong background in business development and key account management within B2B ingredient sales.
• Exposure to agricultural ingredients or speciality fats is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage high-value, complex sales cycles with global clients.
• A hunter mentality with a track record of winning new business and expanding key accounts.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple stakeholders, and drive results in a competitive environment.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build long-term partnerships.
• Willingness to travel up to 80 days per year for client visits, industry events, and internal meetings.
• Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are a plus.
