About the Business:

Our client is a global supplier of fragrances, flavors, food, nutrition and cosmetic ingredients. Its clients include manufacturers of perfumes, cosmetics, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals and producers of nutritional supplements and pet food. As part of the Cosmetic Ingredients Division the Business Unit Actives & Botanicals is recruiting a position in their Product Management team. Our client has over 60 years of experience in developing, producing, and marketing high-quality Botanicals, which have made the company a global market leader in this area.


Main Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following main duties:

  • Managing and developing of specific Botanicals business incl. portfolio management, global pricing and profit responsibility, determining Unique Selling Points of the product line vs. competitive products.
  • Developing and commercializing market segment relevant proactive promotions jointly with account management and local marketing teams.
  • Giving input for new research and development projects based on consumer and market insight.
  • Developing the commercial part of the business plan for new research and development projects in collaboration with the regional business management and managing the respective projects in collaboration with the technical project leader.
  • Developing, in agreement with the Business Unit Management, technical and commercial presentations and presenting them upfront to customers or in big assembly during seminars or workshops.
  • Setting up and keeping up to date relevant product information of a dedicated product portfolio (technical documentation, data profiles, specifications, certificates, safety assessments, patent situation, legislation, registration status).
  • Monitoring product tests and studies (contact with test institutes, organize studies and samples).
  • Handling of day-to-day requests regarding any Botanical questions (internal, customers).

 

Key Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree engineering science and technology of cosmetics, technical, chemistry, business administration or equivalent.
  • Several years business experience with knowledge in product development and project management is an advantage.
  • Detailed knowledge in cosmetic market, production and design of cosmetic products is a plus.
  • Experience in working with global accounts and familiar with complex organizational structures.
  • Very good presentation skills.
  • Sense of curiosity to learn.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Willingness to travel 20% of the time.
  • Capacity to manage complex technical projects.
  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
  • Profound IT skills: MS Office, SAP
