Position Overview

 

The President EMEA will be responsible for overseeing all commercial and operational activities, managing a full P&L valued between €500M-1B, and setting strategic priorities to drive profitable growth. This executive role involves aligning regional strategies with global business objectives, engaging with key stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of the business unit’s long-term vision. The position reports directly to the Global President and leads a multidisciplinary team of over 500 professionals (direct and indirect reports).

 

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement regional strategies that align with the company’s global objectives for the EMEA business unit.

Drive commercial success by managing sales, product development, marketing, and application innovation.

• Oversee full P&L ownership for the EMEA division, ensuring financial performance and profitability.

Lead strategic supplier management, including supplier selection, relationship development, and portfolio optimization.

Allocate resources effectively, approve key investments, and initiate high-impact commercial initiatives.

Foster alignment between regional operations and global leadership, ensuring consistent execution of business strategies.

• Serve as a key member of the company’s executive leadership team, contributing to high-level decision-making and corporate strategy.

 

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; an MBA or master’s degree is highly desirable.

15-20 years of senior leadership experience in a relevant industry. Experience in specialty ingredients, chemicals, is an advantage.

• Proven ability to lead large-scale commercial and operational teams in a multinational corporate environment.

Fluency in English (both verbal and written). Additional language skills are beneficial.

Strong strategic thinking with the ability to drive business transformation and growth.

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with experience engaging at a senior executive level.

Expertise in project management, with a results-driven and initiative-focused mindset.

Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving operational efficiencies.

Leadership skills in mentoring and coaching, fostering talent development within the organization.
