Role Overview:

My client who are a multi-million speciality ingredients producer are currently looking to recruit a Head of Global Marketing who will be responsible for their Health & Wellness business unit with a global scope. As part of their overall Nutrition business, the role will have a direct interaction with functional ingredients & solutions for the food & beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care and infant nutrition industries. The position will oversee global health & wellness marketing, including customer experience marketing, product marketing and business intelligence/market research. The role will have complete global responsibility with a strong focus on Europe, for the marketing and development of the health & wellness division and hold a pivotal function in the growth and development of the business unit. The company has large growth aspirations over the next 3 years where this position will aide in that strategy and assist in driving results. 

 

Key Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Development of marketing strategy, new and current markets and new customers to target.
  • Responsible for building and managing a highly effective B2B marketing team in a matrixed environment.  
  • Fueling the pipeline for driving revenue growth by increasing awareness of nutrition advantaged ingredients & solutions and ensuring the companies is the customer’s first choice.
  • Define the global product & services strategy and to support its adaption to each regional and local market working closely together with regional teams. You will also collaborate with local teams to strengthen their local product and services offer.
  • Support the sales and development of key global accounts and large regional customers.
  • Assess and define the landscape for health & wellness products. 
  • Both marketing and commercial development functions.
  • Provide regular support to the President of the Health & Wellness division as well as other key stakeholders in the business across R&D, Product Development & Application, Sales and Strategic Customers.
  • Identifying unmet customer needs and developing new marketing concepts.
  • Develop and implement new tools to support field sales activities.
  • Lead a team of senior marketing professionals to serve the business unit for commercial growth potential.

 

Key Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Ideally a Masters degree in a technical led education such as chemistry or food science, or a Degree in Marketing. MBA considered a plus .
  • Expert knowledge in strategic marketing on a global level in B2B or B2C.
  • Expertise knowledge of ingredients tailored towards nutrition.
  • Hands-on analytical skills with a strong creative yet practical mindset.
  • Track record of managing a P&L.
  • Proven track record in international value selling and strategy implementation in the Nutrition industry or a very similar line of business.
  • Strong Leadership skills, directing the team to support the business successfully.
  • Fluent language skills in English. Additional languages also considered a plus.
