Pharma, Healthcare & Industrial
The Role Accelerate sales in our Pharma, Healthcare and Industrial Business Units EMEA to exceed our annual and strategic plans:
- Manage an existing portfolio of medium and large accounts with a sales turnover in excess of $15 Million per annum.
- Uncover and develop new business opportunities in the sector in line with company objectives and strategy.
Develop new technical and pharmaceutical/healthcare solutions to improve existing products and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Management
- Meet annual sales volume, value & average selling price targets.
- Commercial management of the customer account base, including price/contract negotiations and coordinating delivery of opportunities
- Develop and maintain existing strategic customer base through direct frequent contact, leveraging the company’s expertise and services to bring value to customers.
Business and Technical Development
- Conduct technical lab trials and scaling-up products to translate into new concepts for the market and explain these products to new and existing customers.
- Develop & grow sales of innovative and differentiated products in line with strategic growth.
- Manage Industrial & Pharma and Healthcare product stewardship, supporting QA, including complaint handling and product launches.
- Hit growth targets in new business areas
- Developing and hunting for new customers and application areas
- Design new technical alternative workflows in order to cut costs and improve overall manufacturing efficiency e.g. addressing issues and troubleshooting when a problem is detected in the manufacturing process in order to restore the safety and quality of the product.
Project Pipeline Growth
- Uncover, develop & deliver high profile customer projects, resulting in new business.
- Train and coach Healthcare distributors technical and quality related aspects to support joint customer projects
- Identify and develop new customers and application areas and meet targets.
Customer Relationship Management
- Develop & maintain strong customer relationships with frequent contact, leveraging the company’s expertise and services to bring value to customers.
Required Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor of Science Degree or Master´s degree in chemistry, or chemical engineering, pharmaceutical engineering, biological engineering or another related discipline or equivalent.
- Technical sales experience in a business to business environment preferably in industrial, pharmaceutical or chemical industry
- Technical skills e.g. pharmaceutical engineer or specialised chemical engineer background
- Excellent Negotiation Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and ideally in German.
- Questioning /listening skills and able to uncover customer needs.
