About the Business:
A global supplier of specialty chemicals for the personal care industry. Experts in formulation and new ingredients, supplying leading cosmetic and consumer product businesses.
Role Overview:
To manage sales activities globally (with strong focus on emerging markets & customers) in line with company’s strategy and build long-term value relationships internally and externally.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales plans in order to achieve company’s goals for assigned territories, markets and customers.
- Forecasting and performance management for direct reports; monitoring of staffing and training.
- Ensure effectiveness of actions and services; focus on delivering best value to customers, coupled with a passion for products.
- Develop a clear vision on channel development activity, monitoring sales territories and making adjustments as needed.
- Manage Key Accounts, maintaining existing relationships in coordination with sales representatives whilst identifying and promoting new opportunities.
- Initiate and contribute to the content of sales presentations to key clients and technical publication.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on sales volume, proposed areas of expansion, competitor activities and products.
- Meet budget in terms of top line growth and bottom line contribution.
- Travel as required in line with company’s goals.
- Represent company at trade association meetings
Key Requirements and Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will hold a BS in Chemistry or Chem. E. or higher.
- Specialty chemicals background in the personal care and cosmetic industries would be the top desirable skill.
- You will be an entrepreneurial contributor, able to work independently with little direction.
- Successful in identifying and growing new clients and business.
- Able to recruit, grow and train high performing sales teams successfully.
